A Day in the Life of a Wedding Content Creator

Nov 06, 2024

Early Morning Preparations

The life of a wedding content creator starts early. My equipment is packed, batteries are charged, and I have enough storage on my phone to cover 6-10 hours of a VERY busy day!

I usually begin by scouting the venue to find the best spots for photos and videos throughout the day. This involves checking the lighting, background, and overall aesthetics of the venue. The first hour or so is crucial for me to get detail shots before guests arrive and things move around - capturing the hard work of your many vendors is another unqiue aspect of my work.

Candid Moments and Portraits

Once the preparations are complete, it's time to focus on the couple. I capture candid moments of their first look, the bridal party getting ready, and the emotional moments shared with family and friends. These are the moments that tell the real story of the day.

Equipment and Techniques

My toolkit includes a gimbal set to the highest frame per second settings, a handheld light, vairety of chargers and a meat stick or two. Each piece of equipment plays a vital role in producing high-quality content - not like the pictures your tipsy aunt takes.

The Ceremony

The ceremony is the heart of the wedding day. As guests take their seats, I position myself to strategically to capture every angle from the POV of a guest. From the bride walking down the aisle to the exchange of vows and the first kiss, I document each moment with precision.

Post-Ceremony Celebrations

After the ceremony, it's time for the celebrations to begin! I follow the couple and their guests to the reception area, capturing the joy and excitement of the day. From the first dance to the cutting of the cake, every moment is documented professionally.

Editing and Final Touches

Once the wedding day is over, my work is far from finished. The editing process begins, where I sift through hundreds of photos and hours of video footage to make your edit. This process can take up to 2 weeks post your wedding day in the high season - but don't worry you get a next-day stories recap and your raw gallery within 24-hours.

Delivering the Final Product

By morning your scrolling through your full camera roll. Seeing my couples reaction to moments I captured is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. It's a privilege to be a part of their special day and to provide them with these memories they maybe didn't even know happened during their day - that will last a lifetime!

Being a wedding content creator allows me to be so creative & is incredibly fulfilling. Each wedding is unique, and I take so much pride in capturing the love and joy that make these events so special.
